“It’s not that funny,” he said, retreating into himself as she continued to laugh, now covering her mouth in attempts of suppressing the hyena sounds she was making.
“I’m sorry. I-” she said, unable to control the fits of laughter escaping her throat.
“This is my first time. You know that. No need to be such a-” He bit his tongue, trying to be the bigger person. What a futile effort this would be, he thought as he shoveled the blankets off his body, stepping onto the carpeted floor.
“I really am sorry for laughing.” She said.
