Drabble #26

The last train to town pulled into the station with its wheels screeching against metal, coming to a halt with every door perpendicular to the platform. Everyone got off and began walking in various directions with the parking lot being the most visited.

I remained on the platform as planned. Then, like the parting of the sea, she appeared.

Her auburn hair was in frizzy curls. Her skin glowed under the sun. Freckles dotted her nose and under her eyes.

Standing at five feet three inches she was a vision no amount of words could speak for.

I smiled.
