Drabble #58

Whether you’re on the train, a bus, walking down any given avenue, shopping in a store, you come across folks from all walks of life who are either utterly lonely or drowning in denial that they are. Millions of men and women in one of the greatest cities in America and they can’t seem to lock-on to that one thing that they’re convinced will solve all of their problems.

Lonely for companionship. Lonely because of financial burdens. Lonely because everyone they knew or once knew are no longer alive or consciously checked out of your life.

Blaming yourself only makes things worse. Unfortunately no matter how many times we trade in old cards for new ones, the same hand gets played.
